The DE-XRT Heavy Duty Sorter utilizes advanced dual-energy X-ray transmission imaging technology. By intelligently recognizing the differences in absorption and penetration of X-rays between aluminum and heavy metal impurities, it achieves efficient and precise aluminum purification, helping recycling companies and smelters improve product quality and economic benefits.

The device simultaneously emits low-energy (20-50 keV) and high-energy (80-150 keV) X-rays. Different materials have distinct absorption characteristics. Precise material discrimination is achieved by calculating the Dual-Energy Ratio (DER):

• Moderate low-energy absorption, lower high-energy absorption
• DER Value: 1.5-2.5

• Very high low-energy absorption, moderate high-energy absorption
• DER Value: >2.5

Through real-time analysis of DER values via intelligent algorithms, the system accurately distinguishes aluminum from various heavy metal impurities, enabling millisecond-level identification and sorting.
